COMMUNITY EVENTS
Glyndon community association is a volunteer based organization that promoted special events and holiday celebrations right here in historic Glyndon. As a growing community it is important that we not only celebrate and honor past traditions, but that we are actively engaging with new community members in order to promote new traditions that are celebrated throughout generations. Read on to learn more.
EASTER
GCA celebrates Easter each year with an egg hunt in Glyndon station park the weekend before easter. Dates will be posted outside of the park leading up to the event. Children of all ages are welcome. Raffles and prizes form local businesses will be awarded to whoever finds the "golden egg!"
4TH OF JULY
Glyndon Community Association celebrates every 4th of july with a long standing parade throught he community. The parade is followed by refreshments and snacks provided by Santonis and is held at Glyndon Station Park.
HALLOWEEN
Halloween in Glyndon is a special occasion and is celebrated by children, families, and adults! The celebration kicks off with the childrens event at Emory Grove followd by the adult Halloween party the following night.
CHRISTMAS
Christmas inn Glyndon is magical and is celebrated throughout the month of December with our annual tree lighting and Holiday open House. Holiday house tours have also been very successful during the winter months.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Glyndon has many special events to celebrate, our most recent being our 150th Celebrate Glyndon event. This event was a collaboration of the Glyndon Community Association and Historic Glyndon Inc. to bring a three day long celebration to the residents and neighbors of Glyndon. This spectacular event hilighted Glyndon's rich history and also brought out new neighbors and new traditions throughout the community.
COMMUNITY CLEAN UP
The Glyndon Community Association hosts a series of community clean u p efforts throughout the year. Neighbors will meet at a designated location and help pick up trash, plant trees, clear brush, or plant seasonal flowers. Stay tuned and check out our upcoming events page for details.
